COLUSA, CA (MPG) – Families have until July 8 to register children for the Colusa County Arts Council’s Summer Art Camps, which offer hands-on visual and performing arts experiences for youth ages 5 to 13.
The Colusa County Arts Council, in partnership with the City of Colusa, will host a three-day Visual Art Camp for children ages 5 to 10. Campers will explore painting, drawing, sculpting and other creative projects while learning new artistic skills in a supportive environment.
The Arts Council is also partnering with Sound Space, The Stagehands and the City of Colusa to present a three-day Performing Arts Camp for youth ages 5 to 13. Participants will receive instruction in music, dance and theater through interactive activities that encourage creativity, self-expression and teamwork.
The performing arts camp will conclude with a live performance at the Levitt AMP Colusa concert series on July 23 at 6 p.m. at Colusa Veterans Memorial Park. Camp participants will perform for family members, friends and the community.
Registration costs $50 per child. Scholarships are available to help ensure local youth can participate regardless of financial circumstances.
The camps are supported through partnerships with the City of Colusa Prop 64 Cohort 3 Youth Prevention & Education Program, Sound Space and The Stagehands.
Space is limited. Families are encouraged to register before the July 8 deadline.
