Maria Antonia Sanchez de Ramos, 67, passed away on April 21, 2026, in Sacramento, California.
She was born on June 13, 1958, in Michoacán, Mexico, to Lazaro Sanchez and Carmela Valdovinos. She was affectionately known as Antonia, or Toña, by her family and friends.
Toña lived in Colusa County for nearly 42 years.
She moved to Colusa with her husband, Ramon Ramos, and their newborn son, Jesus (Chuy), in 1984. During their time in Colusa, they welcomed three more children: Alejandro, Diana, and Alvaro.
In 1992, Toña and Ramon relocated to Williams, where they established their forever home and had their youngest child, a daughter named Maria Guadalupe (Lupita).
Toña was an actively involved parent, dedicating her time to volunteering at nearly all school events, classroom activities, picture days, book fairs, and field trips. When she wasn’t volunteering, she worked hard to support her family in various roles, including housekeeper, canneryworker, and field worker.
She will be remembered for her sense of humor, devotion to her family, and the strength she exhibited in facing health challenges. Toña is survived by her husband, Ramon; her sons, Jesus, Alejandro, and Alvaro; her daughters, Diana and Lupita; her grandchildren, Katalina, EllyAna, Rafael, Ramon, Alexa, Kamila, Noah, and Andres; her daughters-
in-law, Yvette and Nancy; and her son-in-law, Damian.
Services for Toña were held in Williams with her family and friends on April 30, 2026.
