The United Way of Northern California announced Friday that supplemental funds have been awarded for emergency food and shelter programs in Colusa County.
The selection was made by a National Board that is chaired by the US The Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency consists of representatives from non-profit associations and churches.
The funds will be used to expand the capacity of food and shelter programs in high-need areas around the country. Colusa County, under phase 39, was awarded $19,164.
Additionally, ARPA-R Phase has allocated $59,231.
A local board made up of local social service agencies will determine how the funds awarded will be distributed among the emergency food and shelter programs run by local service agencies. ■
