The Colusa Holiday Craft Faire is back and will be the first major event for Colusa County to truly ring in the spirit of the holidays.
The annual exposition, which was canceled in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, kicks off Saturday for two full days of holiday shopping at the Colusa County Fairgrounds.
“We currently have roughly 105 plus vendors including outdoors,” said Araceli Plaza, Fairgrounds office assistant.
The 34th annual Holiday Craft Faire is spread across the fairgrounds with vendors inside four major exhibit buildings with Christmas gifts, ornaments, holiday treats, jams, jellies, handcrafts, wood art, and so much more, Plaza said.
The event is open from 9 AM to 4 PM on Saturday and Sunday.
Santa will be in the Festival Hall both days and is available for free photos with the public.
“We will have Tacos El Amigo serving food, and Coffeeologist serving specialty coffee drinks and baked goods,” Plaza said.
Visitors to the Craft Faire on Saturday will also enjoy a special performance by the Stardust Dancers, starting at 11 AM.
“All of our holiday dances are about joy,” said Jyl Torrens, instructor. “I thought we could all use a little joy this time of year. You’ll see our newest 3-year-old tots grace the stage for their very first time, as well as our seasoned veterans – and everyone in between. We are happy to be out and about again to celebrate our favorite time of year.”
There is no admission to attend the Colusa Holiday Craft Faire and parking is free, Plaza said.
The Colusa County Fairgrounds are located at 1303 10th St., Colusa. ■
