Post-season accolades continue to roll in for the Division V Team-of-the-Year Colusa RedHawks as Cal-Hi Sports named a trio of its players to the Small School All-State Team.
Emanuel Frias, Ethan Lay, and Drew Bradbury received the honor when Cal-Sports released its 39th All-State Team on August 10, making the RedHawks the only small or medium-sized school to land three on the roster.
Frias, a junior, hit the cover off the ball, finishing with a .464 batting average, .845 slugging percentage, 1.381 OPS, seven home runs, and 46 RBI.
Lay, also a junior, boasted a 0.32 ERA, 69 strikeouts and eight wins, over 43 innings of work, while ending the season with a .380 average and 1.031 OPS at the plate.
Bradbury, a senior, who is heading to Lassen Community College this fall, was the workhorse of the RedHawk pitching staff. He logged 63 innings, in which he won 11 games, fanned 73 batters, and registered a 0.89 ERA.
The three RedHawks now join six other Colusa County athletes who have been selected to the All-State Team over the years including: Dustin Greene, Pierce (1996); Brandon Ottenwalter, Maxwell (2007); James Bowen, Maxwell (2011); Steven Perry, Maxwell (2011); Tyler Wells, Maxwell (2011); and Blake Vierra, Maxwell (2014).–
