ARBUCKLE, CA (MPG) – Colusa County wrestling teams participated in their second to last local match night on Jan. 21 at Pierce High School, where it was evident that they have continued to progress.

Bears’ head coach Devin Harris was excited about the way things turned out for his squad saying, “The team killed it. We won 45 of the 57 bouts which equated to a winning percentage of 79. Our girls did especially well, dropping only two of the 15 matches.”

Harris highlighted those who went undefeated for the evening including Quin Stephens (3-0), Ailize Saavedra (3-0), Gary Martinez-Hernandez (3-0),  Adan Beltran (3-0), Connor Harris (3-0), Pam Vernon (2-0) and Rylie Delepierre (2-0).

He also singled out Dayami Villanueva for a dominant performance in her match and congratulated both she and Connor Harris who went unbeaten at home this season.
