Girls:
Colusa 58 – Gridley 49 (12/19)

In its only game last week, the RedHawks outscored the Bulldogs 12-3 in overtime to come away with the victory.
Danica Chavez and Olivia Huskey finished with 17 points apiece to lead Colusa.
Now riding a three-game win streak, the RedHawks (9-5) travel to Trowbridge to face East Nic on Jan. 4 for its Sacramento Valley League opener.
Maxwell 52 – Esparto 26 (12/18)
On the road last Monday night, Maxwell breezed past the Spartans in its final preseason contest.
Emma Hendrix posted a triple-double with 23 points, 13 rebounds and 10 steals to pace the Panthers, who also got an eight-rebound effort from Teresita Salazar.
Maxwell (4-3) returns to action on Jan. 9 for a Mid-Valley League contest in Hamilton City ahead of a match-up with Williams on Jan. 12.
Pierce 32 – Anderson 42 (12/18)
Pierce 37 – Orland 34 (12/20)
After dropping their first game last week to visiting Anderson, the Bears bounced back nicely to avenge a loss to Orland they suffered five days earlier.
No statistics were provided by Pierce (6-6), who opened Sacramento Valley League play at home against Willows on Jan. 3, ahead of traveling to Winters on Jan. 5.

Princeton 31 – CORE Butte 35 (12/22)
Participating in the Block LM Tournament in Los Molinos, the Eagles found some tough going, but according to Coach Jordan Dillard the team is still making strides.
In two games last Thursday against Biggs and Willows, Mackenzie Wills had six points and 14 rebounds, then in the night cap went for nine points and grabbed 12 boards.
Princeton (1-8) was back at it at home on Jan. 10 against Paradise Adventist Academy in a Pioneer League contest.
Boys:
Colusa 39 – Gridley 70 (12/18)
Colusa 58 – Las Plumas 48 (12/21)

Despite taking a beating from Gridley to start last week, Colusa brought an end to its two-game slide with a convincing win over Las Plumas.
Against the Bulldogs in Gridley, the RedHawks couldn’t buy a basket as they were held to their second lowest output of the season.
Landon Humphrey scored a team-high 11 points, while Isaiah Travis pitched in with nine points and five rebounds.
Yet, Colusa got back on track in Oroville against the Thunderbirds with Travis pouring in 23 points and Humphrey recording his first double-double of the season with 11 points and 12 boards.
Also pitching in was Brayden Newgard with 12 points and Seth Kalisuch, who dished out seven assists.
The RedHawks were back at it on Jan. 5 when they entertained East Nicolaus at Don Bransford Gymnasium.
Princeton 48 – Redding Christian 53 (12/21)
Princeton 66 – Central Valley 56
Princeton 60 – CORE Butte 48 (12/22)
Princeton saw its nine-game win streak come to an end against Redding Christian in the first round of the Block LM Tournament in Los Molinos, but bounced back to down Central Valley and CORE Butte.
No statistics were provided by the Eagles (11-1) who were in Orland to play Providence Christian on Jan. 9 before returning home to play Pioneer League foe Paradise Adventist on Jan. 10.
Maxwell 57 – Esparto 35 (12/18)

The Panthers (6-9) picked up an easy win on the road over Esparto in their only game last week.
No statistics were provided by Maxwell, who will be in Hamilton City for its Mid-Valley League opener on Jan. 9 and then host Williams on Jan. 12.
Pierce 43 – Orland 57 (12/20)
Drew Burnum dropped in 20 points, pulled down eight boards and made five steals, while Alfonso Orozco chipped in with 10 points, but it wasn’t enough as the Bears fell at home to Orland.
Pierce (3-8), began play at Dixon’s Ram Jam on Thursday.
