COLUSA, CA (MPG) – In its only match last week, the RedHawks made short work of visiting Paradise 9-0 to remain unbeaten in the Sacramento Valley League and run its win streak to seven straight.
In singles, No. 1 Olivia Nair posted a straight set win 6-2, 6-4, while the rest of the ladder including No. 2 Savanna Rochette (6-3, 6-2), No. 3 Vianey Farias (6-0, 6-3), No. 4 Joanna Rodriguez (6-3, 6-2), No. 5 Ashley Perez (6-3, 6-1), and No. 6 Janell Garcia (6-0, 6-0) followed suit.
Colusa also dominated the doubles matches last Thursday, with Nair/Rochette claiming an 8-2 victory, Faris/Rodriguez passing up their opponents 8-4, and Perez/Garcia cruising to an 8-1 win.
This week, Colusa looked to keep its record in the SVL unblemished when hosted Live Oak on Oct. 3 before heading to Willows on Oct. 5.
