Boys:

Goalkeeper Jose Pineda kept two clean sheets in the Yellowjackets’ pair of wins last week, extending their streak of shutouts to three straight.
Against Live Oak, Julian Garcia scored a brace and assisted on another, Max Garcia and Brian Jimenez each put one in the back of the net, while Jose Padilla and Octavio Parra both recorded assists.
Following up in a close battle with Hamilton City, Julian Garcia booted the difference maker off an assist from Jose Cervantes.
Coach Humberto Guzman also pointed out the strong overall play of Cervantes, Jimenez, Johnny Garcia and Julian Garcia-Arambula in both matches.
Williams (3-0-1) traveled to Orland on Dec. 16 then returned home to face Durham at McCarl Field on Dec. 18 before heading into its winter break.
Colusa 0 – Woodland Christian 5 (12/8)
Colusa 2 – Corning 4 (12/9)
After being shutout by visiting Woodland Christian, the RedHawks made things closer the following evening, but couldn’t do enough to stop Corning and as a result suffered its second defeat in as many days.
Lucio Preciado scored twice off a pair of assists from Eric Gonzalez against a Corning team that had beaten Colusa just three days prior at the Foothill Tournament.
Now 2-4, the RedHawks continued to face larger school competition having entertained Gridley on Tuesday ahead of its match in Orland on Wednesday.
Pierce 3 – Lindhurst 3 (4-5) (12/12)
Pierce 5 – Rio Linda 0 (12/12)
Pierce 3 – Foothill 0 (12/13)
After falling to Lindhurst in a shootout in their first match at the Live Oak Tournament, the Bears bounced back to down Rio Linda and Foothill in shutout fashion.
No other information was provided by Pierce (3-1) who welcomed Gridley to town on Monday in its last match before winter break.

Having dropped its first match of the week to Live Oak at home, Williams earned its first win of the season against Hamilton City as Daisy Ruiz set up goals by Andrea Velasquez and Yoselin Vasquez.
Preseason play continued for the Yellowjackets (1-2) this week as they headed to Orland on Tuesday and hosted Durham on Thursday.
