‘Jackets’ Santillan in Good Form

WILLIAMS, CA (MPG) – Cross Country season is underway for county harriers and leading the way is Williams senior Isabella Santillan, who, over the past two weeks, has shown she can run with some of the North State’s best.

On Sept. 1, Santillan braved the rain and mud to finish the three-mile course in a time of 20:55, which tied for 19th place in the field of 78 runners, who gathered at the Shasta College course in Redding for the 16th Annual Bill Springhorn Classic.

Santillan followed up on Sept. 9 with a third-place finish in the small school 5,000-meter race, in Grass Valley, at the Nevada Union Invitational where she crossed the line in a time of 22:02.

This week Santillan and her ‘Jacket teammates were in Chico for a Mid-Valley League meet on Sept. 13, hosted by CORE Butte.
