Life is good today: I want to believe

There are many, many gullible people among us who will believe and hope the advertisements for pain relief really works. Sadly I’m one of them. Since my incident on the ice last year I can only guess how much I’ve spent on pain relief miracles.

I’m pretty sure I have every apparatus, cream, potion and pill that promises relief. “It’s like
magic,” the people in the ads say. I want to believe so I buy.

Sign me up. I’ll try anything. And I have! Yet, here I am. It’s one year later and none of the promises of relief have succeeded.

As in most things, the answer apparently is time and keep exercising.

I’m a firm believer in not giving up.

My method of healing is prayer, and determination to do whatever it takes to get better. One day at a time I will do it.

Soon my daughter and I will make a trip. We are fulfilling my life long dream of visiting Italy. I know my limitations now. This trip will not be our usual rush to do everything. Instead we will enjoy being in Italy, drinking in the culture and experiencing the beauty of
it all.

I am so excited to have this opportunity at last. And to finally be there and be with my first born is the bonus.

Tom and I are in California now for awhile. I admit I am enjoying being out and about walking without fear of falling on ice.

We were blessed with great weather on the drive out from North Dakota.

Except for a bit of a icy slow down near West Yellowstone the roads were perfect.

We stopped for lunch with my foster son John in Pocatello, Idaho. He tells me we missed a big storm that hit the day after we were there.

So here we are in sunny (for now) California.

Life is good today.
