There have been so many idiotic behaviors in our world this year.
I know I often reflect on how good it used to be, but I’m pretty sure I’m right.
Growing up, I was taught respect. We respected our elders, and we respected our country and its leaders. We trusted that immigrants working here were vetted.
We played outdoors after dark with neighborhood kids. We never feared anyone would take us.
These days parents have to be vigilant in protecting their kids. Even at home, there is danger via the internet.
I’m praying that things will change.
I have never witnessed before blatant attacks by one political party to another. It kind of makes you sick to watch the ignorance and corruption running amuck with elected leaders.
We trusted each person we voted for to serve us. It’s their job to serve the needs of the people. It is not their job to have childish tantrums, call names or make decisions on what will best serve their political careers.
Freedom of speech and rights are glorious gifts we have as Americans. Abusing those gifts by playing the system is criminal.
Here comes 2026. Let’s do better.
Life is good today.
