Icy

Here we are. We are stuck in Bismarck because roads are too icy to go home. A look out our hotel window this morning revealed a temporary ice rink in the parking lot. We’ve heard multiple sirens this morning. I suspect a Lott of cars are sliding. Not gonna go out there!

Hopefully tomorrow we’ll have a window of opportunity to get home.

You just never know. But for now we are grateful for a warm room and food delivery.

We are looking forward to going to California at the end of the month. I really don’t want to brave ice and snow again this winter.  Somehow even the Northern California fog seems better. At least I won’t slip, fall and break something in the fog.

Cookie day was a success. You can’t go wrong decorating gingerbread people and having homemade soup for supper.

Grandson Kohen did a great job learning to make Aunt Creasie’s Old Crooked Noodles and chicken soup.  I loved teaching him. It did my heart good and reminded me of cooking with his dad when he was growing up.

The older I get the more precious memories of my own children and younger grandchildren become.

I know I often say I’m blessed. But it’s true. I am blessed.

Life is good today.
