I have a few happy places where I value time spent.
Everyone has that place. For me it’s the mountains or the coast. Today we’re on the coast. Fort Bragg to be exact.
We’ve worked long and hard on our vacay place since arriving in California last week. So, as a reward we are enjoying a few restful and cooler days at the ocean. As I write, I can hear the rolling ocean waves outside our hotel balcony door. There’s nothing like the peace that sound brings. Indeed it’s my happy place.
We’ve worked long and hard this past week making our new digs on our own. We couldn’t be more pleased with our place. It is just what we needed.
Thanks, Matt, for all of the things you left for us.
I’ve already had some good visits with family and some friends. It’s good to be back for a while.
You never really lose the roots where you were raised.
We went to church on Sunday at the First Christian Church. My brother-In-law Samuel Krouse pastors there. My sister Ann, Samuel and I grew up together at the First Baptist Church in Colusa. So, Sunday service reminded me a lot of those days. It felt right. Sometimes God just blesses us.
There have been ongoing acts of violence recently. With lives lost, families shattered and grief abundant still some among us continue to. Seemingly call for more violence.
I don’t get it. Why would anyone wish to see more people die? We have to wonder where these ideas originate.
Continue to pray.
I’m not going to give up. Life is good today.
