March of Time

Something we don’t always see is trauma within others.

This past week a young man connected (through love not blood) to our family took his own life. His sadness was too much for him to carry.

Those left behind will struggle with grief and guilt. It’s human nature to question if more could have been done. Bottom line is if a person is determined to go, they will likely go.

We pray for those left behind. We pray that peace has finally come for the person who is no more.

These things are hard to understand.

Growing up in Grimes, Ca our community was more like family than it was like neighbors.

As teens in the 60’s our friendships grew to be lifelong bonds.

My sister Ann and I spent a lot of time with our friend Patty (Ballard) Griffin. Yesterday I learned of Patty’s passing. Reading her obituary, I was pleased to see what a successful and good life she had gone on to enjoy.

We never know our own destiny. We plan, we pray, and we hope and dream.

I’ve not always been granted wishes. I have had answered prayers. Time and again even when the answer was no I have seen the plan evolve.

There is always a plan. It may not be your plan, but it’s always the best plan.

Life is good today.
