So I went to the market where I have purchased my individually wrapped hamburger packages for several years. For those years the bundle of eight packages was about $18. This time it was $42! Plus, the holidays are coming so I typically stock up on cream cheese. Normally .99 but now $2.95. Don’t get me started on the once $9 summer sausage now clocking in at $18!
To me it’s an inconvenience but to families it is a real struggle.
I hear all the political promises of better days to come. Color me skeptical at best.
I’m old and I’m pretty sure I’ll survive. It’s our kids and our grandkids I’m worried about. Don’t they deserve as at least as much as we had?
Every parent wants a better life for their children.
Prayer and action are what we need. I hope your action was to vote.
My heart is hurting these days. Today my beloved aunt Betty (more like my sister) completed her final journey . We prayed for a gentle journey. She was beloved by so many and was surrounded by her dynasty of children and grandchildren when she slipped away.
It’s very hard to let go of people we truly love.
I am honored that she asked me to conduct her service so soon I’ll be California bound.
People who love us and who we love in return makes life good today.
