Well, it’s here. My silver jubilee year has arrived. It’s not so bad. As long as my face, hair, and nail technicians keep holding me together, I’ll be fine.
So far, I haven’t seen any silver though. Isn’t there supposed to be a gift of silver for the silver jubilee?
As on my birthday for the past few years, we are in Red Lodge, Montana. It’s a treat to visit this beautiful little town. It’s a special birthday treat for
me each year to celebrate with the delicious Amish food we find here.
I pride myself on being a pretty good cook, but I don’t even come close
to baking as well as the Amish. So good!
This year we were greeted by three deer on the front lawn. Around the corner were five fullsize turkeys walking around checking out the neighborhood. You just have to love this country that is filled with God’s glory everywhere you
look. I am thankful we get to spend time here each year.
I also share my birthday month with our veterans. Veterans Day was November 11. I like to take time to remember and be grateful for those who served for us.
My husband Tom served in Vietnam.
Sometimes we forget that so many of the Vietnam veterans were so young but they accepted the task.
Be thankful for our military veterans and current military personnel.
Nearly every person has lost someone in war.
These are tough times right now. It’s hard to predict what might be
coming.
Military personnel and civilians alike are suffering.
Prayer is needed on so many levels.
As long as we are free and can pray without fear, life is good today
