Life is Good: Reunion

Since I’ve got a high school reunion coming up in May, I’ve been doing some searching in hopes of finding our schoolmates.

It’s for all Pierce High School graduates 19?? – 1966. Ironically my class (1966) will be the youngest ones there. That’s pretty funny considering how old we are now.

I’ve been looking through my yearbook and wondering about old friends. I know where several of them are, but others are lost to me.

I’ve come up short on internet searches. I keep hoping that word will spread and somehow more of the alumni will show up.

Sadly, my yearbook search also revealed far too many of our classmates have passed.
When you are in high school it feels like you will live forever. You’ll always be young. Apparently, that isn’t true.

Along the way there are small changes. As time moves on, the changes become more evident.

With age comes wisdom, but it also comes with wrinkles, pains, and aches. It’s harder to do things that used to be easy.

I do like the wisdom growth though.

We’ve all learned life lessons. With any luck at all, we’ve retained that knowledge and have been able to impart some of it to younger people. With more luck, they have actually listened to us.

Again, I say the key is to keep moving. Don’t sit down and wait for age to come to you.
Life is good today.
