It’s good to be home. As much as we enjoyed the road trip, seeing people we love, and enjoying great weather, we know we belong in North Dakota.
Life is just simpler here.
We’re even feeling blessed because it’s cold and snowy/rainy today. The moisture is a gift for sure.
Rocky dog was over the top, excited to have us home again. He’s sticking pretty close to us.
I think our pets have emotions. They like other people, but they know their people and who they love.
I encountered, on two occasions while traveling, black kitties that reminded me of my beloved Chloe. It made me miss her all the more.
At home, we found that grandson Bodhi has started walking. Yep, he’s on the move. Here we go.
My youngest child will celebrate his 42nd year this week. It seems unreal to me that my babies are now adults. It seems even more unreal that I’m grandma. I’m not complaining. There’s no better job than parent and grandparent. Every trial, every challenge, proves to be more than worth the effort.
Earlier this week, we learned of the death of a young man dear to us. David Fischer grew up in Beach. He spent much of his teen years at our house. Having lost his own dad, he became attached to my late husband David. I have to believe David was once again waiting to guide young David. We send blessings to David’s mom, Della.
Peace to you all.
Life is good today at home. ■
