Anthony Joseph Felix

Anthony Joseph Felix, our beloved Papa, passed away on November 2, 2022, at the age of 80. Tony was born on May 12, 1942, in Willows, CA. to Anthony and Thelma Felix of Maxwell.

In November 1964, he married his life-long partner and loving wife of 57 years, Irene Marie Rocha. Together, they raised their two children, Stacy Ann Clark and Craig Allen Felix.

Tony was a life-long resident of Maxwell, where he attended both Elementary and High School. He served in the United States’ Marine Corp from 1959-1965. Following the Marines, he began farming and worked for the Glenn Colusa Irrigation District Throughout the years, Tony made many fond memories while hunting deer in the Yolla Bolly Wilderness Area. In his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his cattle along with fishing, crabbing and whale watching at the Mendocino Coast. Tony was a loyal patriot and proud member of the American Legion Post 218. He was also an active member of the Glenn-Colusa Cattlemen Association, along with the Portuguese Federation Society of America.

You could always find Tony volunteering in both the Saint Anthony-Holy Ghost Princeton Portuguese Picnic and the Fort Bragg Portuguese Festa.

Tony was a dedicated family man who loved life. He had a quick wit about him and knew no strangers. He enjoyed every aspect of his grandchildren’s activities, from volleyball and football games to sheep shows and trap shoots.

He is survived by his wife Irene Felix; daughter Stacy Clark; son and daughter-in-law Craig and Anne Felix; grandchildren Natalie Clark, Anthony Felix, and Rebecca Felix.

A Rosary service will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 7 PM at the McNary-Moore Funeral Chapel, 107 5th St., in Colusa, CA. Funeral Mass will be on Friday, November 11, 2022, at 9:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Maxwell, CA. A reception will follow at the American Legion Hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Enloe Medical Foundation, 249 W. Sixth Avenue, Chico, CA. 95926 and/or the American Legion Post 218, P.O. Box 665, Maxwell, CA. 95955. ■
