ORLAND, CA (MPG) – The Honeybee Discovery Center will partner with downtown businesses to host Honey and Hot Rods, a free community event set for April 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on 4th Street in downtown Orland.
Organizers said the event will bring together bee education, classic cars, local shopping and live entertainment in a single-day celebration aimed at families and visitors.
Attendees can view a lineup of classic and custom vehicles as part of a car show scheduled throughout the day. Awards for participating vehicles will be presented at 2:30 p.m. Vehicle owners may register through the Car Registry.
The Honeybee Discovery Center will offer free admission during the event. Visitors can also take part in a Honey Tasting Trail, which will feature honey-inspired items at participating downtown businesses.
Event organizers said the day will include live music, food vendors, wine and cold brews, along with family activities such as face painting and a petting zoo.
Local businesses are expected to remain open during the event, offering shopping opportunities alongside the scheduled activities.
Organizers described Honey and Hot Rods as a way to highlight local agriculture, small businesses and community engagement in Orland’s downtown district.
