COLUSA, CA (MPG) – The Colusa County Arts Council will host the Spring Downtown Colusa Art Walk on Thursday, March 26, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., inviting local businesses and artists to take part in an evening focused on art, culture and community.
The Art Walk will run through downtown Colusa, with participating businesses serving as stops for visitors to view local artwork, watch live demonstrations and take part in hands-on activities. Organizers said businesses are encouraged to remain open during the event and provide visible space for an art-related feature.
The event will coincide with the opening of a watercolor exhibition at the Arts Council Gallery, 151 Fifth St., adding a central gallery stop to the downtown route. In addition to in-store art displays, the Art Walk is expected to include live performances, children’s activities and a limited number of curated arts vendors.
Businesses may book their own artists or work with the Arts Council to develop an activity or display. Organizers said participation ideas may include hosting an artist demonstration, showcasing original work or offering an interactive experience for visitors.
Participating locations will receive event signage, inclusion on a printed Art Walk map and promotional support through Arts Council social media, newsletters, event listings and local publications.
Businesses interested in participating are asked to contact the Colusa County Arts Council at hello@colusa-arts.org.
