COLUSA, CA (MPG) – For more than five decades Special Olympics has used the power of sport to promote positive, inclusive and healthy lifestyles for more than five million athletes around the world.
Included in that number is Colusa County’s own Special Olympic basketball team, which recently completed another successful season.
Coached by Ed Reister, the Coyotes, as the team is known, competed against opponents from Butte, El Dorado, Shasta, Siskiyou, and Yuba/Sutter counties, winning the Butte County Invitational and claiming the silver medal in Yuba City.
