
COLUSA, COUNTY, CA (MPG) – Princeton’s Junior Andrade and Colusa’s Landon Humphrey top the list of local athletes receiving postseason accolades for their efforts during the 2023-24 basketball season.
While both were named the Most Valuable Players in their respective leagues they also earned them spots on the All-Section team.
Andrade, the Eagles’ sharpshooter, was named to the All-Section second team, having finished the season as not only the top scorer in the North State with a 30.2 average, but also as the leader in assists, dishing out 7.3 per game.
In his final season for Princeton, Andrade scored 724 points and led his squad into the Division VIII section title game for the second year in a row.
Meanwhile, Humphrey capped off his career for the RedHawks capped off his career for the RedHawks by averaging 16.1 per game and eclipsing the 1,000-point threshold.

Humphrey, who shared Sacramento Valley League MVP honors with Durham’s Derek Mattern, piloted Colusa to a 23-8 overall record and to an appearance in the second round of the CIF Division V State Championships was named to the third team All-Section.
In addition to Andrade and Humphrey, 10 others achieved All-League status in their respective conferences. Below is a breakdown by league and school:
Pioneer League – Princeton
After going undefeated in PL play the Eagles had two other seniors in Corwyn Roberson and Tito Reynoso earn All-League honors.
Roberson ended the season averaging 11.9 points and 9.8 rebounds per game, while Reynoso was good for 7.1 points per contest.
With its success, Princeton also saw Coach Jordan Dillard take away Coach of the Years honors after guiding the Eagles to a PL championship and an overall record of 23-2, which was a seven-game improvement over last season.
Sacramento Valley League – Colusa
As the co-champions in the SVL, the RedHawks had a trio of seniors including Isaiah Travis, Seth Kalisuch and Luke Kalfsbeek join Humphrey on the All-League squad.
Travis recorded seven double-doubles this year and completed his final season in Colusa averaging 11.8 points and 7.4 rebounds per game.
For his part, Kalisuch was a long-range threat, tossing in nearly 10 points per contest, while Kalfsbeek provided toughness in the paint pulling down almost seven boards a game.

Sacramento Valley League – Pierce
Finishing fourth in their conference with a record of 8-6 and 11-18 overall, the Bears had junior Drew Burnum and senior Alfonso Orozco selected to the All-SVL team.
Burnum was Pierce’s leading scorer dropping in 15 points and collecting eight rebounds per outing, while Orozco averaged 9.3 points and 4.1 rebounds in his final season for the blue and gold.
Mid-Valley League – Maxwell
Although they did not post statistics, the third place Panthers had juniors Cristian Lara and Noel Velazquez garner All-MVL honors.
Finishing with a 12-15 overall record and going 5-5 in league, Lara and Velazquez will lead a strong group of returners next year.
Mid-Valley League – Williams
While it was a disappointing year for the Yellowjackets who finished fifth in the MVL with a 4-6 record and 8-17 overall, a consistent bright spot was the play of senior Kyden Bowen.
The ‘Jackets’ lone All-League pick, Bowen averaged 17.2 points per game and shot 50 percent from the floor.
