COLUSA, CA (MPG) – Last week was a tough one for the RedHawk tennis team having lost Sacramento Valley League matches to Live Oak and Quincy by scores of 2-7 and 4-5 respectively.

In Live Oak on Mar. 19, No. 4 Alberto Leos came away with Colusa’s only singles victory, downing his opponent in straight sets 6-3, 6-2, then teamed with doubles partner Elias Sierra to emerge
8-5 for the team’s only other win.
Colusa then made the long drive to Quincy on Mar. 21 where it came up just short to the Trojans.
No. 3 Elias Sierra won his match 6-2, 6-2, while No. 4 Oziel Morales (6-4, 4-6, 10-8) and No. 5 Leos (6-4, 2-6, 10-8) outlasted their competition in tiebreakers.
Colusa secured its only doubles win in the No. 2 match with Sierra and Morales winning out, although the score was not available.
This week the RedHawks hit the road again on Tuesday to square off against Paradise.
