PRINCETON, CA (MPG) – It’s been six years since a Princeton girls basketball team was a contender for a conference title, but this year could be the beginning of a turnaround as new head coach Jordan Dillard has his squad on the rise after it routed Pioneer League foe Paradise Adventist Academy 40-15 in its first game back from break.
Dillard, who has developed a winning culture with the Eagles boys’ team, is looking to do the same with the girls, and is pleased with the progress made thus far.
“Our improved basketball IQ is the biggest difference in our team,” said Dillard. “The game is really starting to make sense to them and its opened things up.”
Such improvement is evident given that Princeton’s offensive output has averaged nine points more per contest in its last five outings.

Leading the way thus far has been junior Mackenzie Wills, who against the winless Cougars last Wednesday evening, had a double-double that included a career-high 18 points to go along with 10 rebounds.
Also making a big impact against PAA was sophomore Sissy Winn with 12 points and five boards.
This week the Eagles (2-8, 1-2) made the trip to Paradise to face the Cougars for the second time in eight days before returning home to host an alumni game on Saturday.
