NICOLAUS, CA (MPG) – On the road for their Sacramento Valley League opener, the RedHawk girls held off a late rally by the Spartans to come away with a hard-fought 49-47 victory.
Danica Chavez, fourth in the Northern Section in scoring with an 18.8 average, pumped in 24 points, while Olivia Huskey added 16 points in another good performance from the junior.
Riding a four game win streak, Colusa (10-5, 1-0) was back in action on Monday at home against Winters, made the drive to Willows on Wednesday and finishes the week by hosting Live Oak tonight.
