Morrow Named to Sutter Court

SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) — Gov. Gavin Newsom announced the appointment of six Superior Court judges across California, including a Colusa County resident selected to serve in Sutter County.

Tahmina Morrow, of Colusa County, was appointed to the Sutter County Superior Court. She fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Laura J. Davis.

Morrow has served as chief deputy county counsel at the Yuba County Counsel’s Office since 2022. From 2014 to 2022, she worked as a senior associate at Sims, Lawrence and Broghammer. She previously practiced as an attorney at Borton Petrini from 2013 to 2014 and at the Law Offices of Christian Schank and Associates from 2012 to 2013.

Morrow earned her Juris Doctor degree from McGeorge School of Law.

The governor’s announcement included judicial appointments in Kings, Los Angeles, Orange, Santa Clara, Shasta and Sutter counties.
