Corona, a military veteran who also spent 26 years with the Colusa County Sherrif’s Department, cited his commitment to public service and a desire to complete some unfinished business as his motivation for standing for reelection.

“I have always been community service oriented and I’m not ready to totally retire. I have some good years left,” said Corona. “I think there is a big learning curve in being a Supervisor and I’ve learned that while you can’t please everyone all the time, you can do things to benefit a majority. I also know that you have to accept criticism and take accountability. We have done some good things for this county, but one thing I want to continue to work on is improving the roads.”

Another project that Corona hopes to bring to fruition is the Law Enforcement Memorial which seeks to honor the five Colusa County officers who have fallen in the line duty.

Colusa County will vote for local officials and issues on June 2, 2026 in conjunction with the Statewide Direct Primary Election.
