COLUSA, CA (MPG) — The Colusa County Fairgrounds helped kick off the holiday gift-giving season last weekend with its annual Colusa Craft Faire, which filled the main buildings with shoppers and more than 100 vendors on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 22 and 23.
Crafters and small businesses from across the region set up booths with quilts, jewelry, clothing, stained glass, blankets, metal work, olives, jams and jellies, chocolates, candles, festive signs and much more. Food and beverage trucks were onsite so visitors could shop and stay for lunch.

“I found some great things at the show this year, and some honey,” said a shopper who traveled from Woodland for the event. “I have been coming to this event for a few years. It has its ups and downs, but I still find something.”
The event drew a strong turnout as families and friends browsed aisles and checked items off their holiday lists. Shoppers moved from booth to booth, talking with vendors and comparing gifts.
Back this year was D&P Jalapeno Jelly, which had a steady flow of customers.
“We are glad to be back at the faire,” said co-owner Diana Azevedo. “People are excited to see us and our jalapeno jelly back.”
Attendees said they felt impressed by the variety of gifts, treasures and homemade goods on display.
“You can find something for everyone here,” said a Yuba City shopper. “I found a stained glass ornament for my mother-in-law and got my sister a purse.”
Santa Claus greeted children and posed for photos while helpers from the Colusa County Junior Fair Board moved through the grounds and lent a hand to vendors and guests. Families paused for pictures with Santa before heading back to the vendor rows.
Stardust Dance entertained shoppers on Saturday.
“Stardust Dance added so much magic to the Colusa Holiday Craft Faire. They lit up the fairgrounds and brought smiles to so many families,” said Araceli Plaza of the Colusa County Fairgrounds.
