Pedestrian Dies after Williams Crash

Williams, CA (MPG) — A Williams man died after a vehicle struck him at Seventh and E Streets on Oct. 31, according to the Williams Police Department.

Officers responded at 7:12 p.m. and found a 77-year-old man unconscious in the roadway. He was transported to Rideout Hospital in Marysville, where he died.

Police identified him as Kenneth Lausten, 77, of Williams.

Williams Police Chief Christopher Miller said the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The investigation remains open and persons that were witness to the incident or have information that is related are encouraged to call (530) 473-2661.
