COLUSA, CA (MPG) — Colusa County marked a countywide milestone this fall as 11 local FFA graduates earned their American FFA Degree, the National FFA Organization’s highest recognition for members who stay engaged after high school and advance their leadership, scholarship and supervised agricultural experience.
This year’s recipients represent programs across the county. Honorees are Julius Cervantes of Colusa FFA; Allison Traynham, Colton Vanlaningham, Roberto Ramirez, Laura Rivera, Shelby Nissen and Rebekah McPeek of Arbuckle FFA; Anthony Duarte of Williams High School; and Emma Hendrix, Bailee Haywood and Ryann Dennis of Maxwell FFA.

The degree was conferred at the 98th National FFA Convention & Expo on Nov. 1, 2025, where each recipient received a gold American FFA Degree key and a certificate.
The American FFA Degree serves as a capstone. Candidates complete and document a supervised agricultural experience, remain active in FFA beyond graduation, meet scholarship standards, show leadership and contribute service to their chapters and communities. By the time they reach this level, they have put in the steady, everyday work that turns classroom lessons into real results.
