COLUSA, CA (MPG) —Colusa High School agriculture teacher Heather Thomas received the Superior Region Outstanding Teacher Award and the North Valley Section Teacher Mentor Award during the California Agricultural Teachers Association meeting held Oct. 10-12.
at the California Agricultural Teachers’ Association meeting.

Also honored was Colusa FFA alum Andrea Thomas, who earned the North Valley Section Outstanding Young Teacher Award. Thomas teaches Agriculture at Gridley High School.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to do what I love every day, teaching agriculture, working with incredible students, and being part of a strong community of educators who make this profession so rewarding,” Andrea Thomas said. “It’s pretty cool to share the moment; teaching really does run in the family.”
