Museum Seeks Help Identifying Historic Photos

WILLIAMS, CA (MPG) —  The Sacramento Valley Museum is continuing its effort to identify people pictured in its collection of historic photographs.

Elijah Rodriguez, museum curator, said the museum has shared the binders of photos at local markets and vendor events but has not had much success.

“We had some great success with the last photo,” Rodriguez said. “We had many calls about Jay Bell’s picture. We were unable to identify the photo of the woman in the last run.”

A photograph published in the Aug. 29 edition of the Pioneer Review was confirmed as Jay Bell, formerly of Maxwell. The museum is now releasing two additional images, one of an unidentified woman and one of an unidentified man, in hopes the public can help put names to the faces. No background information is available on the photos, and both the date and year are unknown.
