ARBUCKLE, CA (MPG) – Coming off big wins over Willows two weeks ago, the Bears’ inexperience showed last week as they dropped two Sacramento Valley League games to Durham by scores of 0-6 and 2-11 respectively.
Starting off in Durham on Apr. 29, only Rylie Delepierre, Danica Hagle, and Jocelyn Ramos recorded hits as Pierce batters struck out a collective 13 times.
Returning home to host the Trojans in the series finale on May 2, 12 errors sunk the Bears despite getting some big hits at the plate.
Hagle doubled, tripled and drove in a run to lead the way, Maicey Hoebel doubled, while Delepierre and Kendall Mulqueeny finished with a hit apiece.
This week poses another tough task for the Bears (6-13, 2-8) as they complete the regular season with games against the first place RedHawks, which began on May 6 in Arbuckle before concluding in Colusa today.
