MAXWELL, CA (MPG) – A non-conference doubleheader against CORE Butte didn’t go the Panthers’ way last Tuesday as they fell by scores of 8-21 and 2-16 respectively.
In the early game, Bianca Minutti was 2 for 2 with a double, Lylah Barrett contributed an RBI single, while Jessica Lara and Karina Perez accounted for Maxwell’s only other hits.
Following up in the second go-around, Allie Wills smacked an RBI triple to get Maxwell on the board, although no other statistics were provided.
On hiatus for Spring Break this week, the Panthers (4-15, 2-2) return to action on May 2 when they head to Quincy for a Mid-Valley League twin bill against the Trojans.
