A sweep of Sacramento Valley League rival Paradise saw the RedHawks extend their win streak to six straight.

 

Senior pitcher Ava Garcia limited the Bobcats to two hits while striking out eight in the first game played on Colusa’s home field.

 

Garcia also did some damage with the bat, going 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI, while Aliah Ramirez also doubled and drove in a pair of runs.

 

Elli Santana, Braelyn Santana and Olivia Nair accounted for the other RedHawk hits.

 

In the second game up in Paradise, Colusa pounded out 15 hits and capitalized on five errors to run rule the Bobcats for the second time in two days.

 

Addison Lay led the hit parade going 3 for 3 with two doubles, while Garcia blasted a home run and doubled as part of her four RBI day.

 

Braelyn Santana and Caeden Agnew both had two hits including a double.

 

Elli Santana and Olivia Huskey also had two hits apiece.

 

In the circle, Garcia fanned 11 while scattering four hits.

 

This week, the RedHawks (12-2, 6-0) were scheduled to travel to Willows on Tuesday and entertain the Honkers at home today.

 

Princeton 21 – Esparto 4 (4/10)

Having notched forfeit wins in Evergreen League games scheduled against Happy Camp, the Eagles then proceeded beat up on visiting Esparto in a non-conference affair where the team had a combined 20 hits.

 

Jada Dillard, who is batting .522 thus far, continued her torrid hitting by finishing 5 for 5 with a double and an RBI, while Mackenzie Wills smashed two doubles and drove in four as part of her 3 for 4 day.

 

Also picking up three hits including a double for Princeton was Macie Johnston.

 

Guadalupe Espinoza, Natalia Haro and Sissy Winn had two hits apiece.

 

Winn also got the nod in the circle and tossed three scoreless innings before giving way to Jenna Silva who closed out the final two frames.

 

Now 10-3-1 overall and unbeaten in the EL, the Eagles hosted Loyalton in doubleheader on Apr.14.

 

Maxwell 21 – Williams 10 (4/8)

The Panthers picked up two wins last week over Williams to even their Mid-Valley League record at 2-2.

Neither team provided any further information.

 

Maxwell (4-13) hosted CORE Butte in a non-conference doubleheader on Apr. 15, while Williams (0-10, 0-4) hosted Hamilton City on the same day, then hit the road to complete the series with the Braves on Apr. 17.

 

Pierce 0 – Winters 10 (4/8)

After being shutout on the road to start last week, the Bears put up a good fight at home, but still dropped the season series to the Warriors.
