COTTONWOOD, CA (MPG) – Joining 23 other Northern Section teams at West Valley’s Eagle Classic Relays on Mar. 28, Pierce collected three top three placings in the varsity boys’ division.
JR Figueroa had the best finish of the day for the Bears after taking second in the 110 meter hurdles in a season’s best time of 17.27.
Pierce’s 4 x 100 relay team, which included Drew Burnum, Jonathan Vazquez Hernandez, Jamison Porter and Nate MacIntosh established a new record after crossing the line in third in a time of 45.77.
Rounding out the top Bear finishers was Vazquez Hernandez, who took third in long ump after putting down a mark of 19.2.5.
Pierce was back at it this week, traveling to the Colfax Invitational this afternoon.
