PIEDMONT, CA (MPG) – Colusa saw its best season in the past four years come to an end on Mar. 4 in the regional semifinals of the CIF Division V NorCal Boys Soccer Championships, when the No. 8 seeded RedHawks fell 0-2 to No. 5 Piedmont.
Colusa was the beneficiary of a forfeit win over No.1 Castlemont, who was disqualified for having an ineligible player and as a result advanced to play Piedmont, who had upset No. 4 Orland to advance to the semifinals.
And although the RedHawks put up a good fight against eventual champion Piedmont, a school of some 730 students and the North Coast Section Division IV runner-up they were unable to find the back of the net themselves

Looking forward, Colusa, who finished the season with an overall record of 10-8-3 and will graduate 11 this spring, should have a core of returners in rising seniors Erick Gonzales, Karim Cruz and Romeo Ponce in addition to underclassmen Kenneth Arias and Ricardo Hernandez to lead the squad in 2026.
