Avenging a 3-1 loss they suffered to Hamilton City back on Jan.16, the Panthers went on to down Paradise and grab a share of first place in the Mid-Valley League as the regular season came to an end.
In Hamilton City, Walter Avery, Celestino Corona and Omar Rosales scored a goal apiece and Massey Baker kept a clean sheet to lift Maxwell over the Braves.
Returning home to face Paradise two days later, Avery completed the hat trick, Corona recorded a brace, while Rosales netted one in the win.
Having received the No. 1 seed in the Northern Section CIF Division III playoffs Maxwell (11-1) was awarded a first round bye and plays the winner of No. 4 Colusa and No. 5 Hamilton City on Feb. 25

Colusa 6 – Willows 0 (2/12)

Having lost in shutout fashion to Pierce at home to start last week, the RedHawks took out their frustration on the Honkers in Willows in the regular season finale.
Cesar Cruz and Eric Gonzales each scored a pair of goals, while Karim Cruz and Ricardo Hernandez each added one to the total.
In goal, Oscar Ramos made six saves to earn the shutout.
Finishing third in the Sacramento Valley League, Colusa (7-6-3) is the No. 4 seed in the NSCIF Division III playoffs and faced No. 5 Hamilton City on Feb. 20, with the winner advancing to a second round match in Maxwell on Feb. 25

Pierce 0 – Williams 3 (2/11)
A goal by freshman Uriel Ruiz lifted the Bears to a victory on the road over Colusa, but they could not breakthrough against the Yellowjackets the following day.
With an overall record of 5-9-1, which was good for fourth in the Sacramento Valley League, Pierce ventured into the NSCIF Division II playoffs as the No. 8 seed and played No. 9 West Valley on Feb. 18 for a chance to take on No. 1 Gridley on Feb. 20.
Girls:
Pierce 2 – Colusa 1 (2/10)
Pierce 2 – Williams 2 (2/11)
Goals by Brenda Granados and Esmeralda Garcia powered the Bears to a win in Colusa, ahead of its match in Williams where they came from behind to force a draw with the Yellowjackets.
Granados, who leads Pierce in scoring this year, added another to her total against the ‘Jackets, while Adelyn Flores came away with one as well.
Having completed their regular season, the Bears (8-8-1) received the No. 5 seed in the NSCIF Division II playoffs and hit the road to challenge No. 4 West Valley for the right to take on No. 1 Orland on Feb. 25.


Williams 2 – Pierce 2 (2/10)
Williams 0 – Winters 11 (2/11)
After seeing their match against Pierce end in a draw, the Yellowjackets (1-11-3) were shutout by a powerful Winters squad in the conference finale to bring their season to an end.
Lorielle Contreras scored a brace of goals against the Bears.
Colusa 1 – Pierce 2 (2/10)
Colusa 7 – Willows 0 (2/12)
No statistics provided by Colusa (7-8-2), who as the No. 3 seed in the NSCIF Division III playoffs hosted No. 6 Maxwell on Feb. 20 with the winner advancing to play No. 2 Hamilton City on Feb. 25.
Maxwell 3 – Paradise 2 (2/12)
In its final Mid-Valley League match Allie Wills recorded a hat trick to lead the Panthers (2-5-2) to a win over Paradise.
Goalkeeper Bianca Minutti made four saves in the win.
Seeded No. 6 in NSCIF Division III playoff bracket, Maxwell traveled to Colusa on Feb. 20 to take on No. 3 Colusa, with the winner heading to Hamilton City to play the No. 2 seeded Braves on Feb. 25.
