Last week was a good one for the RedHawks, who after edging Winters at home, made the short trip to Arbuckle where they downed Pierce.
Cesar Cruz scored the difference maker in the win over the Warriors, while Oscar Ramos kept a clean sheet in goal and Coach Armando Garcia singled out Edwin Fierros for an exceptional defensive effort.

Against the Bears, Romeo Ponce scored a brace of goals in the first half and Victor Lopez added one more in the second half after knocking in the rebound on a penalty kick.


Winners of its last three matches, Colusa (5-2-2, 2-0) had a showdown with unbeaten Williams on Tuesday.
Williams 8 – Willows 0 (1/21)
The reigning Northern Section Division III champion Yellowjackets had no trouble in their first match following a three week winter break as they shutout the Honkers at McCarl Field.
Statistics from the match were not made available, although thus far Williams (6-0) has outscored its opponents 39-4.
This week the ‘Jackets played both their county rivals, entertaining Colusa on Jan. 21 before squaring off against Pierce in Arbuckle on Jan. 23.

Maxwell 1 – Hamilton City 3 (1/16)
Last week was a busy one for the Panthers, who after two shutout victories saw their four-match win streak come to an end with a loss to visiting Hamilton City.
Walter Avery put five goals in the back of the net, Omar Rosales scored once and goalkeeper Massey Baker recorded the shutout after making five saves in the victory over Redding Christian.
Statistics from the matches against the Bulldogs and Braves were not provided.
Maxwell (4-1) made the trek to Paradise on Wednesday to play the Bobcats in its only match this week.
Pierce 3 – Willows 1 (1/13)

Last week started off well for the Bears as they netted a road win in Willows, but could not replicate their success when they returned home to LeMaster Field to take on Colusa.
Although no statistics from the match against the Honkers were available, Adrian Duarte drilled a penalty kick for the Bears’ lone score against the RedHawks.
Pierce (2-6, 1-1) traveled to Winters on Jan. 21 ahead of its home match on Jan. 23 against its county rival Williams.
