Agriculture Acreages Topic of Farm Show Breakfast

Dr. Joel Kimmelshue will be the keynote speaker for the 22nd Colusa Farm Show Breakfast.

COLUSA, CA (MPG) – California State University alumni, farmers, and friends are invited to attend the annual Colusa Farm Show Breakfast and informative discussion about a decade of agricultural production acreages in California and the Sacramento Valley.

Dr. Joel Kimmelshue will be the keynote speaker for the 22nd Farm Show Breakfast, hosted by Chico State College of Agriculture alumni, California Agricultural Leadership Foundation, and Alpha Gamma Rho.

Kimmelshue is the owner and principal soil and agricultural scientist of Land IQ. He has more than 27 years of consulting experience focusing on practical and applied solutions for development and management of agricultural-based systems, especially irrigated systems. Land IQ, a Sacramento-based agricultural and remote sensing firm, has worked extensively with numerous agricultural, urban, and environmental partners. Kimmelshue was raised and worked on a diversified tree and row crop farming operation in Durham and still maintains an ownership and management interest in the family farming operation.

Kimmelshue is a member of Class 37 of the California Agricultural Leadership Program.

The Colusa Farm Show Breakfast will be held from 7-9 a.m. at St. Bernadette Hall, 745 Ware Ave., Colusa.

Proceeds from the breakfast support California Agricultural Leadership Foundation Fellowships as well as Chico State Ag Alumni scholarships and academic needs.
