WILLOWS, CA (MPG) – Volleyball season officially came to an end last Sunday afternoon as senior athletes from the Northern Section convened at Willows High School for the 23rd Annual North v. South All-Star Game.
Among those playing for the South team this year was Colusa’s Addison Lay, along with Pierce’s Macey Myers and Maicey Hoebel.
Teamed with athletes from Chico, Gridley, Orland, Oroville, Pleasant Valley and Willows, the local trio squared off against the North, which was comprised of players from Fall River, Foothill, Mt. Shasta, Quincy, Shasta, U-Prep, West Valley and Yreka.
Due to no lack of effort on their part, the South, which held an 8-14 advantage coming into the match, fell to the North 20-25, 25-19, 17-25, 17-25.
