COLUSA, CA (MPG) – In nine matches this season, the Colusa tennis team has taken no prisoners and as a result, remains undefeated after posting victories over Willows and Paradise by scores of 8-1 and 8-1 respectively.

At home against the Honkers on Sept. 17, No. 1 Olivia Nair suffered the only defeat as she dropped a tight match 6-4, 1-6, 10-12.
However, the rest of the RedHawk ladder, including No. 2 Savanna Rochette (6-1, 6-1), No. 3 Vianey Farias (6-0, 6-1), No. 4 Ashley Perez (6-1, 6-2), No. 5 Janell Garcia (6-1, 6-0) and No. 6 Miranda Perez (6-0, 6-3) was able to win in straight sets.
It was more of the same in doubles, with Nair and Rochette winning 8-2, Farias and Garcia trouncing their opponents 8-0, while Perez and Perez prevailed 8-2.
Two days later, visiting Paradise provided a tougher challenge in terms of individual matches, but Colusa was still able to overpower the Bobcats by winning the first five singles matches starting with Nair, who emerged 6-4, 6-3.
Also defeating their opponents in singles play was Rochette (6-2, 6-1) Farias (6-0, 6-1), Ashley Perez (6-2, 6-2) and Garcia (6-1, 6-1).

To finish the match, Colusa completed the doubles sweep behind the duos of Nair/Rochette (8-6), Farias/Garcia (8-1) and Perez/Perez (8-4).
This week the RedHawks continued Sacramento Valley League competition at home when they faced an unknown opponent in Shasta Charter on Sept. 24, before entertaining Durham on Sept. 26.
