COLUSA, CA (MPG) – With the sun having set on the 2024 baseball and softball seasons, the Northern Section has handed out its postseason accolades and among those are two Colusa RedHawks in senior Sutter Moss and junior Ava Garcia.

Moss, a major contributor to the RedHawks’ section championship this year was a cog in the offense and held down the shortstop position to earn a place on the baseball All-Section first team.
Sporting a .455 batting average and .683 slugging percentage, Moss was third in the NSCIF in runs scored with 38 and fifth in RBI with 34.
For her part, Garcia shouldered the load in the circle for Colusa’s softball team, which had its best season since 2018, to earn a spot on the All-Section second team squad.

In 147 innings, Garcia struck out 262, which was more than any other pitcher in the NSCIF this season, then additionally finished with a 1.09 ERA that was good for fourth.
At the plate, she hit .458 and drove in 20 runs.
