COLUSA COUNTY, CA (MPG) – With the conclusion of league play, postseason accolades have been awarded for the Sacramento Valley, Mid-Valley and Evergreen conferences, highlighting the efforts of 14 local athletes.
What follows is the breakdown by league and team.
Sacramento Valley League
Colusa:

Given that the RedHawks were undefeated in the SVL this year and went on to claim a Northern Section title, it comes as no surprise that they also garnered the most recognition with six All-League nods.
For the second straight year, topping the list for Colusa was MVP Luke Kalfsbeek, the staff ace, who finished the season with 112 strikeouts and an ERA of 0.47.
However Kalfsbeek also contributed to the RedHawks’ success with more than just his arm, having hit at a .414 clip with 12 doubles in addition to driving in 28 runs.
Joining Kalfsbeek on the All-SVL team were fellow seniors Sutter Moss, Seth Kalisuch, Will McCoy, Bo Coronado and Peyton Humphrey.
Moss, Colusa’s shortstop, led the SVL in batting average (.455), RBIs (33) and slugging percentage (.686).

All season long Kalisuch set the standard for fielding at first base where he had the best percentage in the SVL at .990, then also hit .390 and when called upon pitched, maintaining a 0.93 ERA.
McCoy was a stalwart behind the plate and productive with the bat as well, given that he sported a .347 average and was first in the SVL in both runs scored with 38 and on base percentage (.571).
Another versatile athlete named to the All-SVL squad was Humphrey, who led the team in stolen bases with 23 and while primarily an infielder, had a 0.64 ERA when taking the mound.
Rounding out the RedHawk contingent was Coronado, who in addition to turning in some spectacular play in the outfield logged important innings on the hill where he had a 1.94 ERA.
Pierce:

In what proved to be a rough season for the Bears, senior Tony Maldonado was a bright spot, deservedly earning a spot on the All-SVL team.
In his final season for Pierce, Maldonado hit .390, swiped an SVL-leading 31 bags and recorded 60 strikeouts on the mound.
Mid-Valley League
Maxwell:

A young Panther squad experienced some growing pains in 2024, but still managed to finish tied for second place in the conference and as a result received four spots on the All-MVL team.
Leading the way was Maxwell’s ace Massey Baker, who completed the season with a 2.55 ERA and 75 strikeouts, then additionally hit .312 with 20 RBIs and a slugging percentage of .500.
Fellow junior Brody Jones was also named All-MVL after finishing the season with a .288 batting average, 22 RBI and 25 runs scored.
Two of the Panthers’ freshmen Vincent Orozco and Colt Montgomery also received All-League nods, with Orozco hitting .350 and scoring 24 runs, while Montgomery had a .250 average, drove in 21 runs and had a .954 fielding percentage as team’s catcher.
Williams:
Although no statistics were available, junior Leo Hernandez was the lone pick for the Yellowjackets, who finished fifth in the MVL.
Evergreen League
Princeton:
Senior Alex Winn was named to the All-EL team for the fifth place Eagles, however no statistics were provided.
