ARBUCKLE, CA (MPG) – The Arbuckle FFA from Piece High School hosted the 2023 Agribee on Oct. 27, at Arbuckle Elementary.

The Agribee is an annual event sponsored by the Butte County Farm Bureau and hosted by Arbuckle FFA. The contest is a spelling competition open to all fourth and fifth grade students There were 36 elementary students that competed, and the top individuals were chosen to move on to the final round taking place in Chico on Nov. 17.
The top students were Dawson Harris, Miriam Willoh, and Makynzie Lopez.
With the help of nine Arbuckle FFA members, the competition ran smoothly, and all students thoroughly enjoyed the event.
Celeste Jimenez and Liah Mendoza, current Arbuckle FFA members, stated, “It was fun, a good experience, and interesting to hear the kids’ definitions of some words. We are sad we are seniors and won’t be able to be there next year.”
