Ministerial Association Bringing
Thanksgiving to the Community
COLUSA COUNTY, CA (MPG) – The Colusa County Ministerial Association will host
Community Thanksgiving this year throughout the County. Anyone can come and enjoy
a free Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings at any of the three locations.
In Stonyford, Indian Valley Assembly of God Church will be serving a dine-in only
meal at 3 pm on Saturday, Nov. 11. The church is located at 4570 Lodoga-Stonyford Road.
In Colusa, there will be a dine in or take out meal served from noon to 1 pm on
Thursday, Nov. 23, Thanksgiving Day, at the First Presbyterian Church, 326 Jay St.
In Williams, the dine-in only meal will be served from 2 pm to 3 pm on Nov. 23,
Thanksgiving Day, at the Williams Community Church, 315 9th St. No takeout will be
available.
California Retired Teachers
Honor Local Educators
Area II Division 53 of CalRTA for Colusa, Sutter, and Yuba counties celebrated
Retired Teachers Week, Nov. 5-11 by handing out $100 stipends to teachers in the area
to use in their classrooms. Recipients included Emily Abken, Egling Middle School, and
Lynn Reister, Williams Elementary School. At present, the CalRTA has 269 members.
Most of its members volunteer 200 to 400 hours in their communities to support educa-
tion for children.
