News Release
WILLIAMS, CA (MPG) – On August 20, at approximately 8:06 pm, the Colusa County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the Williams Orv’s Gas Station regarding a robbery that had allegedly occurred in the parking lot for the Lynch Canyon Trail, located on Highway 20, west of Highway 16.
The victim was provided a ride and dropped off by a citizen at Orv’s Gas Station.
The victim reported being robbed at gunpoint. The victim said he was standing outside his vehicle in the parking lot when an older model red minivan pulled in and parked nearby.
The victim described one of the suspects as a black male adult, thin build, and approximately 6 feet tall with dreadlocks. The second suspect was described as a black male adult approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 250 lbs. The weapon was described as a black handgun with an extended magazine.
Several items were reportedly stolen from the victim, including his wallet, car keys, cell phone, and other valuable items from inside his vehicle. The suspects had the victim walk towards the trailhead as they continued to look through the victim’s car. When the victim looked back, they reportedly fired one round into the ground in the victim’s direction. The suspects left the area driving eastbound on Highway 20.
