There were approximately 732 events logged during the month of November. This included calls for service, proactive enforcement, and extra patrols. This was an increase from October, which was 694 events, according to the report of Lt. Chris Miller. There were 61 reports initiated, 31 misdemeanor arrests, and two felony arrests. There were 45 citations issued for various traffic violations and misdemeanor charges. Seven DUI drivers were arrested.
The police department responded to several cases of vandalism at city parks during November, and this is a trend being seen by other jurisdictions within Colusa County, Miller reported. The Williams Police Department is working with the partner agencies to identify those responsible and hold them accountable
The Williams Police Department lost Officer Wade Wymore, who resigned his position with WPD for employment as a Deputy with the Sutter County Sheriff Department. â–
